• 4 Years ago Twitter had 1 Million Users

• 4 Years ago Youtube had 258 Million Users

• 4 Years ago Myspace had 110 Million Users

• 4 Years ago LinkedIn had 30 Million Users

 

Now, 4 years later things have changed considerably. Social Media is so important that BIG BRANDS are creating multimillion dollar television ads and not sending people to their website. These brands send people to their Facebook page.

 

• Facebook now has 845 Million Users who spend an average of 20 minutes per visit

• Twitter now has 465 Million Users 2 out of 3 social media users believe Twitter influences purchases

• YouTube has 800 Million users who watch 3 Billion hours of video a month.

• Myspace has 25 Million Users (after being abandoned for 8 months by new owner and restarted)

• LinkedIn has over 150 Million Users 49% of LinkedIn users have a household income over $100k
